One of the highlites of my year was George W Bush winning a second term in office. Not because I support George W Bush but because I can imagine Micheal Moore's face, I would have paid to see his face after all the months of back breaking work he put into his propoganda machine. Magic, My Grandmother holds no grudges against him I do, My Grandad died in a submarine in 1944, my friend dragged me to see Micheal Moore at our Local University, I am intensely proud to be half American, my Grandad was American I have family and friends in the States. To hear Micheal Moore get carried away as the crowd Hoots with delights sickened me. I could not even tell my Nan half of the things he said. Appologising for my Grandad, to a group of Students who did not even know him, that kind of thing I take personally, I think a lot of people were equally annoyed and angry, Micheal Moore was certainly a usefull tool in getting George W Bush Re-elected. As you can Guess I dont like the Man, I have no problem with his views, he can support who he likes but when he comes Over appologising for Americans who gave thier lives and who can not have a voice then I get angry. There are a lot of good people in America, I love the country, I dont want British newspapers telling my family how to vote and calling them idiots for voting anyway they choose. Salutes 4 moore years.

Cate.

Yeah, you're right.
Bush is such a wonderful man.
He's really taken the world by the scruff of the neck and told it that he rules it.
Such a man of peace.

Preaches so much about his Christianity and then fucks innocents with every action.
The self righteous, hypocritical moralist is nothing but a greedy elitist moron who should be tried for war crimes.

I'd fucking pay front row seats in Deally Plaza if the turd ever does the JFK trip.

I'm sure the prospect of a F.9/11 sequel, four more years of profitable bite-sized leftism, and a guaranteed high media profile lessen the sting of Moore's disappointment.

I never said I liked George Bush but there is no better person to turn a person off the Democrats then Moore, George Bush must love Moore as his films motivate more people to vote against the Democrates. Moore has done so much for the Republican cause I salute him. Hail Moore, Salute 4 moore years.

I admire the Yanks cos they have the balls 2 do what they *think* is right !
Unlike our toady Tony Blair who all he ever thinks about is his popularity, especially with an election coming uo next year.

BUT I still wanted Kerry 2 win because he offered something else & hopefully Tony Blair would stop kissing the POTUS`s arse !

Sadly I was disappointed - still this will be the end of Dubya, until Jeb takes over !

Between them, Moore and bin Laden (old family friend of the Bush dynasty) managed to galvanise a lot of support for the strategically-shaved chimp. But you have to ask how serious the Democrats were in wanting to win the election---sure they spent a lot of money, but the candidate?

And anyone who makes you feel as if you should apologise for your grandfather is wrong. I may not agree with the action in Iraq at present, but I sure as hell don't blame the troops putting their lives on the line.

You still havn't answered my question cate. What, precisely, did MM say that has got you so wound up about your Grandfather's death in a US sub. Sorry to bang on about this but I'm curious about why you have so much dislike for him.

Hi Mart, All I can say is my Grandfather was a sub tech officer off the coast of Okinawa and there was controversy over the sinking of a vesel in 1944, my Grandfather's sub sank it, later my Grandfathers sub was destroyed all that was left was a few pictures and his belongings, he was stationed off Okinawa in his sub called USS Swordfish, he was brave and decent yet Micheal moore was critical of this subs record. Lets just say I dont like him and lets leave it at that. I dont mind you being curious mart.
