Callan is a peach of a series, I bought Series 1 on dvd last year, I love most things Edward Woodward stars in, funny thing about Callan is he played a spy, then later in the Equalizer he played a retired spy, Agent. Nice linkage.
I loved the Wicker Man, Christopher Lee was wonderfull, but alas the end of the film, I wanted to jump in the screen and save Edward, alas twas a sad ending.

Ye I have that wonderfull film, I thought Edward in the Equalizer was his finest moment, he was mature and looked dam fine in his suites and combat outfits, a great show, and how many unknowns got thier start in the Equalizer, Melissa Joan Hart, Macaulay Culkin, as well as starring seasoned professionals like Robert Mitchum and others.
