No they weren't miles better.

They did deserve to win as they seemed to want it more. They were a bit quicker to the ball and a bit sharper in the tackle.

There wasn't much in it but but they definitely edged it.

PS.

Josemi gave a masterclass in how NOT to play at right back. Absolutely useless.

Hate to say it but Liverpool were very poor, no real ideas. Gerrard is not World Class, no matter what LFC fans thinks.

If Liverpool don't qualify for the Champions League I fear 2 things. One Gerrard will leave, they won't have the cash to pay him ?60k a week and two, the club will change hands or they can kiss the new ground goodbye.

"Gerrards not world class".

So why is every top club in Europe falling over themselves to get his services then?

And why do all the top coaches and TV pundits wax lyrical about him then?

Everybody is entitled to their opinion but have you thought that they might be right and you might be wrong?

Liverpool were average in lets be honest about it, was an average game. I like Benitez but he must take some of the blame for the poor away performances as he is sending the side out with the mentality of trying not to lose. At home we are very positive and are for the most part are being rewarded for that.

Just like that zonal system at set pieces that looks like it has thankfully been binned then Benitez needs to adapt and change the tatics away from home.
