My unsderstanding of Yahoo folders is that if you have created the folder yourself then deleting it won't be a problem. Those that come as standard such as inbox, draft, sent etc are permanant and undeletable.
In the box where all your folders are there are two options, add or edit. Add obviously lets you add another folder, edit means you can rename or delete a folder. If you are getiing close to your storage limit then empty the sent folder.
