Found this again, may be of interest to some newcomers with dirty screens


My question is, having saved it by Rt clicking on the url and Save as target, how do I play it. I've got Shockwave installed but when I dble click on the .swf file I'm asked what program to open it with.
I'm interested because if the url link ceases to work the .swf is useless.

You might need the macromedia flash player as opposed to the shockwave player but then again maybe its not possible to save them via the url

Well, I've saved the file. Its definitely there as a .swf and I've got the Macromedia player installed too.

Thanks ghostdog, IE does it. I was assuming that it would open by default.
