Unfunny and not even original - Radio Station Galaxy 1022 started this a while back, and was then perfectly slated on the razor-sharp Popjustice.com: "It's also worth noting that they've taken a song whose original aim was to conjure some sense of solidarity with the world's underprivileged, and turned it into something deliberately divisive."

What, you mean like Band Aid III.

There is no Band Aid III. You mean Band Aid 20? Divisive? Aye, if you like. Depends on your interpretation, but it might raise awareness on a somewhat pressing issue, even if you don't buy into its politics (or buy the damn thing itself). A bit like Chavaid in a way, but without the undertow of what is starting to resemble envy.

No Band Aid III!!!
Well ok, if you really want to be pedantic.
Band Aid 20 was a load of bollocks and was a shameless attempt at pulling heartstrings that are at breaking point and a shameless plug for the "Look I Care" singers.

Many a cynic says, "Hang on, in the last 20 years, along with Comic Relief, we have given so much money to the cause, where the fuck is the multi-million outcome? Who is to say in another 20 years, the situation wont be the same?"

And no doubt, it will, as from the beginning there was so much corruption and red tape bureaucracy, that fuck all happened to the mountains of grain other than a rodent infestation.

Perhaps if we really wanted to do something, we would do a Bush number and sort those in power out.

As for ChavAid, I didn't take it seriously enought to get worked up.
The singing was shit, a la B.A 20 and the lyrics were ok for the gig.
Shit happens.
