My local boozer had this on all day, and I caught from Spandau Ballet to David Bowie, some were good, some were shit.
U2 STILL looked brilliant, as did Queen, but ropey performances included Beach Boys, Nik Kershaw and Dire Straits. I recall initially Dire Straits were good on the day, but on todays viewing, felt Knopfler went on a bit with his poncey playing a little too much, and could have redeemed himself including Romeo & Juliet instead of extending Sultans of Swing by an extra 5 minutes.
Simple Minds could have been better, especially with Jim Kerr 'doing a Bono' trying to climb into the crowd.
Overall, a decent 2 hours viewed, but I wouldn't buy it.
A true story.........Black Sabbath 'reformed' for this with the original line up, and Ozzy, being Ozzy, wanted to sing 'Food Glorious Food' but the US promoters shit themselves, they really did.
