I see this film is about a (reformed) paedophille, reading Kevin Bacon's interview in this months Esquire, screener copies of it were openly on sale at my local car boot sale this morning, (It's 90 percent quality Guv honest I heard the sellers cry) personally I wouldn't watch it on principle "Kevin Bacon in oscar winning mode or not" , I'd rather watch Team America again, and be entertained, not depressed, I think it's one subject matter to be well left alone regarding films, even if it is about a so called reformed nonse, even bits you get invloving kids in mainstream films turn me over, anyone remember the bit in "Con air" when you wern't actually sure if Steve Buscemi's character was going to off that little girl? didn't like it at all, not that he did, but there was no need for it at all, it made me feel uncomfortable, So anyone out there sat through this yet? and more so why?

Its not as if Kevin hasn't done this kind of role before....he was terrifyingly chilling in Sleepers

Yes saw that as well Ace, wasn't expecting it at all! he got it in the end tho didn't he? whole film was a bit depressing, I like to be entertained, or moved watching a film, and can't feel sympathy for anyone who's made so many peoples lives a misery, the same could be said for films about serial killers I guess, But I really was moved by the film "Monster" more by Charlize Therons performance, and a compelling story, but kids and animals, does me in, I have to turn over when the nspcc & rspca adverts come on, for fucks sake! even tho I donate , It's just film wise, you know me, wouldn't even make my list, I'd rather watch "Wendy's wedding video" AGAIN, and smile, not frown you know?
