I stayed there when I went to a mate's wedding. Steer clear of the bar food. I had major squirts after having a sarnie there...or was it the three bottles of cheap champagne?

If the reservation is already made and you have confirmation before Hanover sold to Novotel, I would have thought the quoted rate was still valid.
You should ask about this and threaten legal advice if they get arsey by not honouring the rate you have
