'Banned' Porn Films

I was just purusing a DVD movie site in the States and came across a 'funny' comment under 'Buttman's Ultimate Workout';

"I guess it's now illegal to own a copy of this movie..."

No idea what this refers to but excluding the extremely well known case around early Traci Lords movies (for obvious reasons), are there any other well-known pornos that are now banned for weird reasons?

Maybe a scene was shot where a sexual act was undertaken which was illegal in the county (correct spelling) where it was filmed or the girl later went mainstream and got a court injunction to ban further copies of it being distributed.

Only asking as the above comment might me wonder why and I was reading an article in a magazine the other day about video nasties that are STILL banned in the UK (despite the 'ultimate' VN now being widely available - e.g. Straw Dogs, Childs Play and so on).

PS - I'm aware snuff movies are illegal and this isn't intended to start a whole debate on the wrongs and wrongs of Kiddie porn (if you're in to that, feck off from here you sick bastid).

That movie is still on sale all over the US, at excalibur

I saw it probably 10 years ago, can't remember muxh about it now, but don't think it was any different to his usual stuff.

Traci Lords wasn't the only one to begin her porn career a little prematurely. Usually though this means that a scene has been cut rather than the movie being banned. This may apply to Alexandria Quinn here. It certainly did in Curse of the Catwoman where in the original there was a sex scene at a bar invovling Rocco, Marc Wallice, Randy Spears, Selena Steele and Ms Quinn. The soft version was shown on the old cable channel HVC in full, but the hard version has only Randy Spears and Selena Steele.

Yes Buttman?s Ultimate Workout did contain an anal group scene with the then underage Alexandria Quinn, Rocco and Sunny McKay, I think the film is still available but obviously if you bought it anywhere other than France this scene would be cut, so technically not banned.

You would be surprised what films are still BANNED in this country, either through the mainsteam cinema or on DVD..although you can purchase on region 1.One of the most famous is:PRETTY BABY (1978)with Brooke Shields.

While I was in the film industry many, many years ago,I can remember such titles as MOM & DAD,STREET CORNER and BECAUSE OF EVE,the sex hygiene films, being packaged up and return to the makers in the States.Britain wasn't about to see this 'filth' such as birth of babies.Incidentally,Because of Eve (1948) contained the first full frontal nudity scene-well actually standing next to each other while a 'doctor' explained the 'bits' if you get the drift.

One lady in the viewing theatre had to be carried out and be given smelling salts. All this talk about menstrual and reproductive cycles were too much...and seeing a mans 'willy' up close was the final straw.

We much not forget the 'burlesque' films, including Lili St.Cyr and Tempest Storm,in titles like MIDNITE FROLICS,NIGHT at the FOLLIES and HOLLYWOOD REVELS all banned in this country. All this flesh will upset the nation and produce riots in the streets.

I recently purchased a 'burlesque' film from the States to remind me of my time in the industry partly in association with the censor-got the tape, and sods law,the naughty bits had been 'stolen' to make up another tape, possibly entitled,'special edition'...what do they say, ever been had.

They forgot I'd seen the pictures and knew where everything fitted between the comedians coming onto the stage during each dance. If you every see the 'real thing' they are little gems..

Yet,one 20-minute film that got passed the censor was entitled THE BODY BEAUTIFUL all you saw was a partly naked girl face down being massaged. The Q's for this film went right down London's Charing Cross Road, and it was only a filler with other newsreels.A special licence was granted by the LCC of the time, providing no ads were shown outside the cinema.

As you can see,America were always well ahead in sexual expression than this country way back in the 1940's.

Steady now, don't let any of these titles excite you for God's sake-they have got your number.

I think I've frequently heard porno stars claiming they've never done this or that and then a week later you see a video of them doing exactly this or that.

I even read an ' interview ' with Racquel Darrian once where she said she'd never taken a facial cum load only to find a picture of her in tha same mag with Derick Lane popping all over her perfect doll face. I guess the interview was done while she was getting ready for that shoot ( pardon the pun ).
