Been using this browser for a few weeks now and its shit hot I reckon. Stops pop-ups and has a few useful utilities.

Anyone else agree?

Its useful but has a major shortcoming in recognising plugins already installed on the computer
Solve that and I might be a converted

I run IE6 with firefox, opera & netscape as back-ups for situations where I'm being denied access for what ever reasons

I've never been infected with anything serious using IE6 and for the most part I've not been using a firewall so all the secuirty issues would seem to be a Load of hot air or I'm just lucky

cheers

I've been using Firefox as my main browser for ages now, and think it is great.

I still have to use IE occasionally to handle incompatible websites.

I use Firefox as my main browser with IE6, Netscape and Opera also on hand to check that any websites I design will work and look right in them all.

However, if I could, I'd gladly get rid of IE6, but you can't do that running Windows!!!

Another totaly pointless and crap piece of Microsoft software (aren't they all, let's face it) is Outlook/Outlook Express. Dire and unfriendly.

I have Firefox and to be honest I am not sure what the fuss ia about. Like Deuce I have never had any security issues although I do run a Firewall but then I never did before I ran a Firewall.

The pop up blocker is first class and stops more than the usual blockers but for the most part I don't see much difference between it and Internet Explorer.

For a start it has the tabs option so you can view multiple pages from just the one browser rather than having to open up IE6 a second or third time, etc. By doing so, it uses fewer system resources so makes the whole experience quicker.

There are loads of other things that are better, too.... you just need to look and use them.

What you're saying is a bit like "I can't see a difference between my Mini and a Ferrari" after "testing" them in a busy car park!!!!! LOL

Thats your opinion.

I really can't see what the fuss is about but then I'm not on the internet that much anyway.

That Firefox uses fewer system resources than IE6 is a fact, not a matter of opinion!

I bet you're the sort of person who buys his computer from PC World, is signed up to one of the heavily-advertised-on-TV ISPs and believes the Intel chip is the dogs bollocks!!! LOL

Or maybe you're right hand is too busy doing other things!!! ROFL

Now Bob you are obviously a very small minded person making up stereo types about people that you don't even know and haven't even met.

Or are you just so unbelievably arrogant that you think that your opinion is the only one that counts?

Everybody has the right to their own opinion. It's called individualism. Welcome to it. I have mine. You have yours but as I said you are obviously one of those know it all clever clogs.

Here comes my stereotype comment. You wouldn't be a Londoner would you? (thats a cocky cockney in case you didn't know).

For the record I didn't buy my computer from Pc World and I don't use my right hand for w######. My 28y.o. rather attractive wife does that for me.

I'll make one further point here. I replied to the original post just stating my opinion which had no derisory comments but you attacked me in a childish manner and made it personal which is why I have responded.

I suggest that you grow up a bit and realise that your opinion isn't the only one out there, no matter what the topic might be.
