Just read this girls book which is very good.

Or anyone have any theories on who she is?

There is a school of thought that Belle de Jour might actually have been written by a man pretending to be a call girl. I'm not sure about that, but it might be possible. I'm pretty sure it's not Fiona Cooper though, it's too well written for Mr Sutcliffe.

It's called the intimate adventures of a london call girl by Belle de Jour.
She had a blog site that turned into a book
http://belledejour-uk.blogspot.com/
Just wondered if anyone had any idea who and how etc
Probably a waste of time but hey.

The 'Belle De Jour: Intimate Adventures of a London Call Girl' is stealing it's title from the classic book by Joseph Kessel ' 'Belle De Jour' - a 1967 movie was made
The book may be good, but it's a cheap attempt to latch onto the original for marketing purposes

I have the book, it's a good read.
I found the web site after it was in The Times. In a followup story, they reckoned that words used and style suggested it was a writer from Manchester and the web blog was a form of cheap advertising.
Cheers

Read some excerpts, but not the book, and it's almost certainly fiction. I understand the author had publishing in mind right from the start, which wouldn't suprise me. Its high media profile over the last year raises questions at least.
