Video into DVD

I know their are some new machines out there that lets you do it, can anybody recommend what to buy, cost etc and PLEEEEEASE keep it basic technology, don't blind me with techno bollocks.
So, model and price at this stage
Oh, and no cheap basic shite like Alba or Bush (Fnarr Fnarr)

The cheapest way I've found is to tape the video onto my DV camcorder and then transfer it to pc and then convert to DVD.
Sounds like a hassle but once you get the hang of it, it's a piece of piss dude.
As for straight VHS to DVD machines, do they actually exist?

Argos has one from Bush at ?149.......looks shitty, looking to spend ?300ish

I would have thought 'bush' was just up your street! Holden for once! has the easiest method if you have a camera ace, just tape it to camera then d/load to your pc, then burn man!

Just buy a dvd recorder with 2 scarts, and record on Ext 1 or 2 piss simple.
