lets be honest here ?25 for a video is way too much i feel shops and producers are just abusing their monopolistic position.how can a hollywood blockbuster cost ?12 and after 6 months you know it will be cheaper and a british porn film cost twice as much.

personnaly i believe that porn in this country is stuck in a rut and needs to be shaken up by the punters who are just being taken for a ride by some pretty dodgy people.i also believe that there is a crimminal element involved and the black market,which lets be honest is what porn is in,is where my hard earned cash goes.

this site is a starting point for punters and as soon as the undesirables are closed down the better

Your 12 pounds on a hollywood blockbuster are a drop in the ocean. remember that the average big screen flick with an 80 million budget has been seen by virtually everyone in every country in the world before it even comes out on tape, then there are the DVD rights for sale, cable and TV negotiated prices and fucking huge sums to be made with merchandising.

the average porn flick on the other hand has a budget of about ?2.50, and if it can even get distribution, then you can expect them to take a tenner. I know of adult producers in this country who make about 5 pounds from every tape they sell. ask Ben Dover how much he makes on each tape. You,ll be surprised by the anser.

if you don't want to pay 25 notes for a tape, then go visit vtx.com or one of the other sites where you can download entire movies to your hardrive for under a tenner. or start making your own films and then watch your blood pressure rise when you see just how many people try and use forums to 'exchange' them and pirate them.

I pay on average 17 pounds for a Hollywood movie on DVD.
I pay on average 15 pounds for a British porn film on DVD.
So shut up and shop around.

unfortunatly the ?650 airfare and 48 hour round trip would rule out even the most fanatical porn fan,but it was the thought that counts.

But back on topic, seems that a lot of people bitch about the price of tapes without taking into account where the money actually goes. if you're buying from the likes of Marcus or Phil direct, then they take the money. they've alredy squared the models up and paid for all the ex's and with no distributor to pay, they're doing okay. on the downside they don't get the advertising or marketing, and they're not doing as much on shelf business as if they went through a shop.

they can then plough that back into productions and everyone wins, including the girls.

You missed the point Reepo its not about winning its about complaining. A bad habit of some of this country is to whine about other peoples success, In the states everyone loves a success story here they prefer to watch Eastenders for the doom and gloom. A friend of mines and Violets (Dave Courtney) told me last year when he wakes in the morning he is a pussy cat full of happiness and the joys of living, by dinner time he is a totally different person. Why ? because people dont want to see him a film producer doing well they want him to be a villian.

Easier to be destructive & negative than to be constructive & positive.

I would never question wether 25 pounds for a vid was to much because I'm not in the business and don't pretend to understand how it all works.

Henceforth all I can do is study reviews of vids I'm interested in and when I find what I'm looking for as long as its within my price range I buy it.

To put it into perspective what else does 25 pounds buy you?
