Plenty of action out there, but be warned, it is a rip-off place catering for sad bastards according to a recent article in Loaded or FHM that I read in the reception at the dentists.
Either an extortionate door charge and a couple of 'old bangers' going through the motions, OR free entrance with hefty prices on the bar drinks, nice ladies keep the show dragging on for ages, so you keep drinking and at the end, yer out of pocket..........BIGTIME!!!!

okay. to me then is it? may i assume you mean amsterdam? the red light district is actually quite small. you'll come out of central train station ( the only way to get from schippol to the city and only 4 euros return) where you'll find trams and bikes. directly in front of you you'll see a main road left to right and opposite is a large main street leading away from you. all the 'entertainment' is to the left of that road. if you're into you're shows, we tried a couple and they seemed pretty much the same. about an hour long, six 'scenes', four solo, one which the lass grabs a couple of guys from the audience and teases them, and a couple of fucks - no vinegar strokes! the shows were ?25 each and probably worth it. the banana bar seems to be favourite but there's always a queue. a lass shoves a banana up herself and invites you to take a bite.
you may get harrassed by guys in long black coats trying to sell you drugs but just give them a firm 'no' and they'll leave you alone, there's cafes everywhere, if thats your thing.
all in all, a fantastic city. after you've been once you can't imagine going anywhere else to holiday ever again
