Peter Hester, drummer with Crowded House, has been
found dead.

Looks like he hung himself.

Bad time for rock drummers. !

Another depressed individual of the estimated 800,000 in Australia

He had it all,so it makes you wonder why?

Leaves a longtime Girlfriend and 2 Kids behind

Very sad, but if you had to perm any one from 3 excluding the other Finn brother, Peter was the candidate, he was a founding member but all the adulation went to Niel and Nick S. I dont think he could handle not being famous anymore, it,s a tough drug.

He was the Extrovert of the group who are usually the people that have high highs and very low lows

Even had a gig as the Cook with "The Wiggles" so its not like he wasn't in demand after the Crowded House dissolved

You could be right about the adulation factor but
Crowded House bowed out 9 years ago(when they were at the peak of their success it must be said) so it might be stretching that theory a bit far

It could be anything, he could have had family problems, his health could have failing someway - or maybe he (understandably) had just had it up to here with this stupid world of arseholes...
we may never know

I think you will find his name was Paul Hester not Peter,

Sad to hear another good musician go this way. R.I.P. Paul Hester :(

Very sad news, and CH did some lovely stuff in their prime: Don't Dream..., Distant Sun, Nails In Your Feet.
