Well it is interesting that tonight's Milan derby in the champions
league features 2 players he offloaded, Stam and Veron.

I feel he has bought very badly over the last few years. Instead
of building up the team with a few quality signings each year he
has gone for a small number of 'big money' players.

Ferdinand, Rooney, Veron, and Van Nistleroy are all good players,
but this left gaps in other areas of the team.

He has had poor goalies since Barthez left, and has never tried
to replace Keane. And Kleiberson and Djembax2 were poor signings
for a team of United's quality.

He could have bought Ferdinand for half the money if he had bought
him off WHU a year or two earlier, and if he was a good manager he
would have done that.

He has also weakened the team by getting rid of players who he
had a slight disagreement with (Stam, Barthez, Beckham).

I think, like Cloughie, he has gone on a couple of years too long.

His pride, his deire to get one over on Wegner, and a desire to win
the champions league again, have clouded his judgement.

He's a perfectly decent chap as long as you remember one thing: he is never, NEVER, ever wrong.

He'd make a great headmaster at the Dibbsie Academy for Gratuitous Acts of Violence.

Should have gone after the treble season. I hate to say it but I think the Board may ask him to go if they win nowt this season.
Better to go out at the top than go under a cloud.

Guilbert and Heathray are perfectly correct.
Poor signings and over priced 'names'
should have got Ronaldinho when he nearly did
Too many errors in his line-ups and off field problems over his race horse stud fees show he has other 'more pressing' engagements than Man Utd.
Even though Im Chelsea 100%, I have always admired Sir Alex, he will be missed if he goes

One of those bizzare things in life. Alex Ferguson once gave me a (short) lift to a Barnsley v Oldham game.

Never feel sorry for Man Utd.

They'd never feel sorry for you.
