I once met Gary Olsen at the house of a guy I knew. Really nice bloke. No front to him at all.

Yeah, I remember this well....Brian Bovell, I think the other guy was called.

I remember the episode where they thought they had a system worked out for betting the horses. It was something like...every race meeting there are usually at least two races where the favourite wins...so all you have to do is bet on the favourite everytime...if the favourite wins...stop there, if it doesn't then you bet enough on the next race to recoup your losses from the first plus some extra winnings....can't remember why it doesn't work.....I think it depends on you having a very large amount of stake money.

I also remember the theme tune...sung by Ray Dorsey (of Mungo Jerry) which you can't seem to get anywhere.

Ok, then, while we're trying to remember obscure 80's TV shows...here's one I recall, but can't remember the title off. It was set in an around Deptford and Greenwich in SE London. It starred two girls, one white, one black who set up a detective agency.

They have this woman friend who's a solicitor...who in turn has a clerk who was played by the Indian guy from Corrie. The black girl hasn't done much since, but the white girl was played by the actress with short hair who was in Soldier Soldier (played Robson or Jerome's wife?) and is now (or was) in Family Affairs.......any ideas?

Going Out was essential viewing on early Channel 4. I remember the teen (Handsworth) who ended up in The Bill and some physco gang member with a Scottish accent. Wish THAT was available
