Well played Liverpool not the best game you will ever see but they got the job done, if there are two better defenders in the country than John Terry and Jamie Carragher ive not seen them they both did their clubs proud tonight Robbin was a waste of time it seems he's not that hot when the chips are down but he was like that in Holland.

bit harsh on Robben when he's hardly played for 3 months and gets thrown on for the last 20 mins to try and change the game.
Kezman is a total donkey
Liverpool will need to defend like like that against Shevchenko, hope they do it
who gets the fourth spot then!!!!

Over the line - over the moon!!!

I'm not a Liverpool fan but I have a healthy respect and admiration for them - I'm a child of the late 70's early 80's and Liverpool were the team of the day...

One thing you cannot accuse Liverpool of is arrogance... Benitez is clearly class act. Mourinho on the other hand is an arrogant and miserable pretender who (despite obviously having some talents in management) has mostly been in the right place at the right time.

Was the ball over the line - Yes, I think it was - if you look at the defenders outer foot and how close it was to the goal line and the time it took for his inner foot to come up to meet the approaching ball - I think you have to say it was odds on it was over...

But lets take nothing away fromt he fact that an early 1-0 lead was nothing more than a noose hanging around the Liverpool head... The longer the game stayed 1-0, the more dangerous it became for Liverpool...

Chelsea have done a Blackburn - they bought the title.. with Abramovich's continued support I'm sure they're going to be a force to be reconed with for a long time.... I don't dislike Chelsea in the same way that I dislike Man Utd - but as a football fan and a relatively neutral observer I think that was the best result for English football....

Go ahead - shoot me down, but please understand that I'm not saying the above to wind people up.

Robben assessment - VERY harsh...

The finest testament to Chelsea's FORMER manager (Ranieri) there is likely to ever be!

A revelation for the Dutch national side.. they'd been in the wilderness for years until he arrived... a shame that he got himself injured before the start of Mourinho's reign... when he arrived on the scene FULLY FIT he was the premiership's class player... but sadly, he suffered another injury setback and it is LUDICROUS in the extreme to expect him to come into a match like that tonight and turn it on its head after such a long lay-off!!!

I'd put Robben as potentially next season's international player of the year if he can stay injury free.

Pity it never crossed the line. To win by default is a hollow victory.

I don't like either side, but as a neutral (Spurs) , Pool played an excellent defensive game, full of heart and bite, and CFC were woeful in front of goal. Drogba and Kezman were both wonderfully shite. The Reds' goal was never a goal, but they would've had a penalty due to Cech's challenge, so fair result.

Mourinho diminished himself and his team by his graceless comments after the game. He has no class whatsoever. No matter what he does in the game, that will never change.

I think it is a good spread for once. England team in Europe, Chelsae Champs, and Arsenal or Man U for the F.A. cup.
What a great end to the season.

Of course I want my Gooners to get the cup, but whatever the result, I think this has been one of the best seasons football I have ever seen.

Even the lower teams like palace and Norwich have played some good stuff.
Especially Rooney's volley the other week, some class goals scored this year.

I thought Mourinho,s comment at the end of the match were graceless, I dont think even Ferguson in his bitterest outburst could match that, the Chelsea squad were great to watch, and maybe it was a dubious goal, but it could so easily have gone the other way, such is the nature of the game
So good luck Liverpool in the final, and may Stockport county be next seasons premiership winner,s.

Liz. (clearly knowing fuck all about football)
