More to the point, if there's no Status Quo or Adam And The Ants, it just won't be the same.

I ask the questions does it really matter & is this more about making first world citizens feel all warm and fuzzy about helping out the 3rd world?
Intersting docu just recently painted the true picture
For every dollar we in the first world give to the 3rd they repay nine in servicing their loans. You don't have to be einstein to figure out this means Live Aid is a waste of time
If Live Aid had really made a difference then the Loans outstanding that are crippling 3rd world countries and that will never be repaid would have already been written off a long time ago
cheers

That's one of the things Tone and Goggs are trying to get sorted at the G8. It means getting Bush on board, so it's not going to happen. But whatever the motives of Blair and Brown in pushing the African agenda during the summit, and during Britain's presidency of the EU---credit, their standing in history, the Nobel prize, or a genuine want to do something---they ought to be applauded for at least trying.
Oh, and Geldof and co can cry out for a million protesters cramming into Edinburgh and calling for change, but that won't change Bush's view of the world either. It might shame European leaders into doing something, but the present US Prez is shameless. As well as witless. Et sans morals.

Without America you might as well forget it
I'd give odds of 1/10000000000000 of the debt being written off on GWBs watch.
He shows his true self everytime he ups a tarriff to protect some American Industry from a 3rd world competitor whilst at the same time espousing globalisation & free trade...hypocrite of the first degree
The writing is on the wall, third world debt to stay as it is
The best that will come out of that summit will be more Aid which just like the tsunami appeal never reaches its destination.Compare all the countries that make pledges to disaster hit areas and reconcile this with what they actually end up giving/sending.Simply dismal. The pledges tend to evaporate
into thin air
Its all about making the right noises at the time for the media IMHO
cheers

Sorry, Holden. The Chav Scum Shit Cunts split up in March after suffering 'artistic differences' with their new album...
But, more seriously...Sabbath..Zeppelin...for that matter Genesis, as some has said. All we are getting is 'Pink Floyd may reform'...er.. when did they officially split?
