I have a Panasonic DVR E55 machine and it records onto DVD RAM.
I can play it on my PC through PowerDVD...
Assuming you have PowerDVD just put the disk in the drive and run the software, pressing CTRL + O will bring up the 'select source' menu and it should be listed in there so just select that and it should run ok.
You'll also be able to take snapshots using the software too.
Hope this helps you in some way.

Try
That's what I use with Power Dvd to enable multi region playback.

DVD RAM will only play on a handful of PC burners, most only play +R / -R, so check your specs. I believe Samsung make such a beast, but check out a PC component site for more comprehensive list.

I have a DVD-ROM drive only on my pc but the DVD RAM disks do play without any problem, just pop it in the drive and run powerdvd then select the source to play from and it works fine just like all the other dvd disks I play on the machine.
I'm certainly not aware of any conflict between the format and the drive on my system at any rate.
