Gypsies on Royal Land....

This raises a number of issues and there's no way we can pussyfoot around them by being politically correct.
First, these people have a history of turning up on land that doesn't belong to them; land that has been used and cared for by the locals for years or generations. Often, some or all of the land becomes the permanent possession of the newcomers. And if they do eventually move on, it is seldom left in the same pristine condition.
Second, they don't appear to be governed by the same laws as the rest of us, often avoiding paying tax at all, and even though they don't hold down nine-to-five jobs they, travel around the country in pretty upmarket motors.
Finally, and probably understandably, due to a rather hostile response from the media, they have become increasingly wary of outsiders. This has meant that over the years, they have tended to inter-marry within their own group, fostering the inter-breeding perils that come from working with a small gene pool.
And, of course, there's the separate issue of the gypsies!!
An old one but funny never the less
