It,s a fucka isn,t it, anybody else had it (please no wanking jokes, Iv,e heard them all) anyone got any excersises to help it?? I have tried 2 x injections, and they help a bit, but still it wont fucking go away, as I earn part of my income from being a muso it,s becoming a problem, I,m told you can have an op to fix it permanantly! but dont know if I fancy that, as your laid up for a while, and it,s a busy time for me come July, anyone else had it and what did you do etc?

I had 'Golfers Elbow' which suprised me as I have'nt played in nearly 2 years. It was suggested that where it hurt the most, I was to massage it very hard, it was sore, but did sooth after a while, and it did work for me. Good, short-term answer that works.

My mother had it years ago, it was cured by immobilising her arm completely in a plaster cast for about 3 weeks. I don't know if this is still current practice, as it was mid 70's.

I had it, knackered my arm weight training. Mine cleared up by itself by laying off the training, takes a while though.
Hope it clears up for you

OK no wanking jokes but I would say to stop Tennis Elbow, stop playing tennis!
On a serious note have you talked to a doc? Or try one of those Sport support bandage type things from the chemist.

When I had it and rest(the only real cure)wasn't an option(f...ckin work got to love it eh?) I found the following reduced the pain and made it manageable,
5/10 minutes of stretching & 5/10 minutes of light exercise to increase the heart rate and henceforth the circulation before doing anything reptitive
Wearing flexible supports over the joints to keep them warm
Increasing my exercise programs for the whole body from top to bottom but only using light weights
Most importantly, always Stretching(no longer than 15 seconds at a time) after exercise & if really painful applying an Ice Pack
Increasing the intake of Omega 3 oils via Fish or Fish Oil tablets
Flushed all the anti-inflamatory drugs down the toilet
Some tips are listed here and also give you an idea asto wether its actually tennis elbow or something similar you have
cheers

Shock, horror, eh Holders, you thought maybe I was a traffic warden? all my work and business,s are music based, thats why it,s such a bastard thing to have, I have had 2 x injections, but my doc reckons another would be counter productive, so now I have to see a specialist, however I had wondered if anyone else had had it and what route they went down, the general concensous seems to be to rest it, but thats very difficult, however as the good doc pointed out if I have an op on it, I will have it in plaster for a few weeks......'kin nightmare, thanks to all who replied.
Liz.

You play or produce?
Sell me a cheap keyboard & guitar and I'll buy you a pint of guiness and let you shag Maggers mum.
