Hi all. Bit of a predicament....and pleeeease don't say I told you so.
Sold a ticket for an event on EBay...the buyer asked me to send it asap..(before they'd paid me for it)...so I trusted them and sent it.....now they won't pay for it.
I mailed EBay but they sent some shitty auto response thing that didn't explain anything, nor did it help me at all....anyone know where I stand, how to force the buyer to pay etc, what to do next?
It's peeing me off now coz they've gone and had a top day out at the World SuperBikes at MY expense!!!
Cheers in advance everyone

You have his address then? I'd suggest you will be visiting him in the flesh very soon for payment, that should do the trick. Other than that, contact the organisers to say your ticket has been stolen, quoting details of its legit purchase and the ticket number. You should get a replacement

1. They live about 300 miles from me.
2. The event has already been and gone, won't be able to get refund on the ticket, that's why I had to try and sell it on EBay.
Thanks for advice so far tho.
Why don't EBay wanna help me?

I had ebay fob me off with a missing product. They really don't give a shit, and thats being generous. Leaving the 'buyer' negative feedback is hardly going to make any difference. I actually contacted the seller direct via his telephone and got it resolved with a few choice threats.
Unfortunately, the Old Bill don't give a shit as its internet fraud which they don't police as such.
Looks like you might have to learn from this, NOT that this is much use to you right now.

what you could try is this tell the buyer you got famly not far from him and you will be sending his address to them and they will be going around to is place to get the money if he does not pay for the ticket
just think every time some one goes to is door knock knock
it will have him thinking is it some one come for payment or not

may not get your money but you can make him sweat a little.
l
and if you have something like that again either sign up with paypal and make it paypal auction only that way can pay for it straight away
never send item to buyer until you have the money no matter how soon they want it
As for eBay once they got there fees out of you they dont give a sh*t

You can get his address from e bay. What was his feedback like?If its half decent there could be a misunderstanding..if not you should have been more careful! If you have any mails from him regarding his refusal to pay then keep them.If it is as you say go to the police with his details and a copy of the advert. If he refuses to pay then that may be dishonest as long as what you provided is what you said it was and not different..ebay community pages have advise on issues like this.

I dont think legal action is really an option....item was a ticket for racing...which has been and gone....and they only owe me ?24....BUT......it's p*ssing me off that they're getting away with this..they're still ignoring my emails and EBay, as far as I can gather, cannot be contacted personally. HELP!!!!
