Brilliant docu last night with behind the ecenes at Live Aid, it was great. But I didn't know that Led Zep had vetoed their appearence being shown again due to a flat performance and blaming Phil Collins for a lack lustre set.
Does the official Live Aid DVD release have Zep on it or has it been edited out? And does The Who's performance cut out mid-way through as it showed last night?

Their performance was vetoed from the DVD and they made a donation to the charity to make up for it.

No, Ace I thought they were alright, they just had awful sound problems it seemed to me. Page was out of his tree dribbling everywhere but I thought they were fine.

Led Zep's set isn't on the DVD - somewhere I've got a tape of the performance (recorded on the day!!) so I'll look at it again and let you know Ace.

Re: The Who, only "Love Reign O'er Me" and "Won't Get Fooled Again" are on the DVD. On the night, one of the BBC's generators blew up, so they didn't show "My Generation" and "Pinball Wizard".

I also seem to remember that while the Beeb were trying to fix the live transmission, they took pictures from the UK broadcast and audio from the US which meant there was about a 1 second delay between the two!!

It was a fucking cheek to blame Phil Collins to be honest as he was solid on the day. Page could barely stand and was dribbling throughout and played like a twat. So that's what heroin addiction looks like!

Anyone who hates Phil Collins is fine in my book.
