Never trust emails ever getting there...
I've recently conducted a survey amongst my many addresses and found 1% of emails never reached the destination...still floating around in space.
I had a very dear friend die in the States back in March, the original email announcing her death never arrived.By sheer chance I wrote by 'snail mail' asking her health on not hearing and I had an email back, saying didn't I get the first email.
Also attached was the original email,so it was true, that was sent at the time regarding her death. This I never got.
As I said, never trust emails getting through,a telephone call or by letter (not always reliable I know) when dealing with something really important.
Other times,take your chance.

There's a lot of useful info. here
Hope it will help.
Btw, I always find it easier to print out and read rather than just read straight off the screen.

If they are vitally important emails then be sure to backup to disc too as a hard drive failure will take out your emails and your backups if stored locally.
