OK, its small by this week's events in London, but can I remind you that terrorism comes in many forms.
Twenty years ago on July 10th French agents sank the Greenpeace vessel Rainbow Warrior in Auckland harbour resulting in the death of the photographer Fernando Pereira.
That brutal act didn't achieve anything either except to firm up the resolve of New Zealanders and others to oppose the French nuclear testing in the Pacific.

Exactly. That is the sheer stupidity of using terror. If someone wants to convince me of something, kicking me in the nuts wont do it. My mind is swayed by argument. Killing loved ones never changed anyones' opinion.

terroism!!!!
i grew up with terrorism.
i grew up in a small army town. as far as i can remember as a small child every week we had a bomb scare.
i remeber being in mother care trying on a new outfit and having to be evacuated naked because there was a bomb scare. that was the norm where i lived most weekends.
now tell me how being more alert could have happened. our lives were totally disrupted.
we couldnt do our weekly food shops etc etc.
and thats in a small town.
imagine that in london terms. companys would have been mills down in the disruption.
i believe the government did all the best they could in the stakes rased. there have been alerts all week and put people out of time/stroke and they are still moaing. imagine living in permanent threat!!!!! like i did.
it means u cant live a nornal life.
now talk ur walk!

No,they went into denial as a smokescreen so they could keep testing for another ten years
Not even remotely as bad as the British Atomic testing at Maralinga in the fifties IMHO
some call it enviromnetal vandalism,I call it Terrorism by Stealth
cheers

i grew up in aldershot and the bomb scares (we never got told if they were hoax calls or actual bombs that were delt with) more often than not were just threats on the british army with no real relevance. some were to do with the IRA.
