See that this giant of Italian football have shit themselves and cancelled their tour of England next week, leaving Palace, Leicester, Portsmouth and Norwich seriously pissed off. Whilst its just a pre-season friendly, it does make you wonder what about legs played here in European games? Will teams pull out over safety fears?
A few years back, Chelsea were paired against an Israeli side during tensions over there, and several big name players (Desailly and Hasslebaink included) shit themselves and pulled out.....they were a disgrace to the club.

we know that Stevie, I find it a disgrace a club of that magnitude would pull out over the bombings, especially when Australia are playing in London and haven't questioned security etc, they just knuckle down and get on with it. Thats how it should be!!

Can't recall bombs in Portsmouth, Norwich or Leicester even during the IRA campaigns, and Italian clubs (amongst others) played English clubs then... CWC, UEFA Cup and European Cup games all seemed to go ahead without any problem.

It may be that they can't get insurance or that the insurance premium is just too high - than again probably spineless bastards.

.......and the bombers have been targeting public transport.
Excuse me if I'm wrong but I can't remember the last time I saw or heard of the top football clubs using the tube or a London bus to get around in.
