I just wanted to say that, though you love to make fun about us, Frenchmen, I am deeply with you in this crisis. I think London is one of the most wonderful cities in the world, and I do hope they manage to catch them bastards.

your solidarity is much appreciated.
i recall the terrorist acts perpetrated in your own country by GIA in '95.
let us hope the situation here doesn't spread to the continent.

Hello Woodgnome,
This crisis is, I fear, very serious. After New York, Madrid, and now London, and Egypt. I'm afraid some of the countries which support the US in Iraq are in danger: in first line Italy. Terrorist strikes against Poland or Hungary would not have the same impact, but I do hope their governments are in full alert (I am confident they are). As you say, the French people, especially in Paris, had much to suffer a few years ago. The fears are coming back, but one has to live after all, so everyone here goes to one's daily work.
