I really woudn't believe something that Fox News broadcasts and Alex Jones takes out of context and puts on his website.
So what if the group they belonged to about 10 years ago worked for us in Kosovo? I'd say we'd worked with some pretty nasty people in various places around the world at various times. Doesn't mean they are working for us now, does it?

Worth bearing in mind, too, that those heroic Mujahadeen fighters that Sandy Gall used to yomp around the Afghan mountains with, in between him singing their praises for their struggle against the evil Russian invaders, became the Taliban. And 20 years ago, in spite of evidence to the contrary, the US and UK thought Saddam Hussein was the good guy in the Iran-Iraq war.
It's normal Foreign Office and State Department policy to cosy up to the bad guys if they can help you in the battle against opponents. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." Not true, but it's how things are viewed. If you need proof that this is still going on, check on what happened to our ambassador in Uzbekistan, Craig Murray, who questioned our support for a regime that condones torture and brutal murders.

Craig Murray:
Murray was removed from his post in October 2004, shortly after a leaked report quoted him as claiming that MI6 used intelligence gained by the Uzbek authorities by torture (the UK was committing torture by proxy by sending terrorist suspects to Uzbekistan for their security services to extract intelligence some of which had dubious value).
The Foreign Office denied there was any direct connection and stated that Mr Murray had been removed for "operational" reasons. It claimed that he had lost the confidence of senior officials and colleagues.
The folowing day, Murray countered that he was a "victim of conscience", and in a number of interviews criticised the Foreign Office and UK Government. A few days later hew as charged with "gross misconduct" by the Foreign Office for criticising it in public.
