Hi.

Can any of you wonderful computer experts give me some advice please?

As usual (lol) I clicked one of the movie links from the other forums (soz can't remember which one) and ever since I have my windows player has not worked properly.

Has some t**t put one up with a virus? Is my player now f**cked? and does anyone know how to repair it please?

The player isn't just knackered for downloads it won't work properly for normal DVD's either.

I am thinking I will I have to uninstall and reinstall Windows XP but if there is an easier way around it any help would be appreciated.

Just restore your machine to a point before the trouble and it should work ok again:

Start > Help and Support > System Restore > Restore my computer .... > Choose a date from calendar when it last worked > Press Next


If that doesn't work you don't need to uninstall XP just to fix Media Player ... download the version you want and install it

or you could try a mr fix it utility program like that at

The only thing I've downloaded (ish) are the clickable links to vids advertised in the Forum.

Don't know which one made it go f**cked but am assuming it was one of em.

Will give everything a try soon. To busy lookin at Sahara's fab pics at the mo but hope to work it out soon especially before Lolly Badcock posts another one of hers lol.
