Many thanks BB, I'll give it a go, time is against me really, as I have a Pink Floyd "Vine" I need to copy and pass on if that makes any sense.

I can drag and drop files to dvd-rw once they've been formatted, which is handy ... but for dvd-r I use Sonic RecordNow, it's just a casre of locating data files and writing - but max on any disk is about 4.3Gb, a;though it can be done in separate writes. 4Gb is enough to hold 4 hours of video in .mpg format recorded from sat TV.
