New censorship law for the UK

Paul Goggins the Home Office minister responsible for censorship has announced that a new law making it an offence to download sites where women are "sexually tortured" and bestiality is being drafted.

Already we have the most Draconian laws in Europe and still the paragons of virtue in the Home Office are not satisfied. Authoritarianism always manifests itself in censorship.

It has never been shown that sexually violent pornography has a causal relationship with real violence. The opposite is the case and that is why Japan with its traditional sexually violent imagery is one of the safest places in the world for females. All major studies on the effects of pornography (Williams Commitee) have concluded that fantasising is an outlet for the darker sexual desires.

The Home Office wishes to treat us all like children. As a member of the Parole Board once told me: "You can take it Michael, so can I but they can't. They have children's minds in adult bodies".
In a true liberal democracy adults should be able to make up their own minds what they look at on the internet.

Censorship leads to corruption and black markets. We already have enough laws to prosecute real violence.

Compare the UK to Denmark, where hard S&M and bestiality can be hired by 15 year olds ... and I think everyone would agree Denmark is the safer country. The trouble in the UK is those making the laws don't even understand the subject - they're just jumping through the hoops in reaction to tabloid headlines. Most lawmakers don't live real everyday lives, coming from the Public School / Oxbridge background.

The whole business of trying to police sexuality is nothing short of pathetic and it won't stop a single murder as deranged individuals don't think about the law when committing crimes ... did the current laws stop the Scottish boy Rory Blackhall being murdered ?

I suppose if they want to ban images contain pain, humiliation and degradation .... they'll be banning films like Silence of the Lambs as well .... and stopping pictures from Abu Ghraib being printed by the Sun.

The more you look at it, we're being goverened by a bunch of inbred morons ... they better get on the case of Cage Fighting DVD's while they're at it, a BBC reporter on the TVhas just said "you wouldn't wan't to see the contents of one as they're HORRIFIC". Surely that's a great free ad for the product.

Yeah ... watching a woman with a horse is bad enough, but two horses together, now that's sick ! Personally I'd lock that Attenborough bloke up for life for filming their dongs.

What worries me is what this new administrative body construe as violent? Think about it. Anal sex is considered painful, does that mean its violent? A woman sticks a base ball bat up her arse, is that going to be criminalised?

All we need is some tightly wound, pent up stiff upper lip person telling us that even vaginal penetration is an act of violence to try and control and stomp down on pornography in general.

I've been surfing the internet for years and don't see all this violent imagery they are talking about. This must be fetish sites or something. I think its a new way of trying to get more cash out of the government to monitor porn that they don't really give two hoots about anyway. Just like Clubs and Vice were supposed to have the Obscene Publications department shut down several years ago and tried to find a way to justify their budget by going after more people and guess what? They all amounted to minor convictions with community service sentences. What a waste of time and money....This will probably end up going the same way.

This should be interesting.

New censorship law for the UK - As Predicted

I predicted a while back that this would happen and, as sure as eggs is eggs, it is. Vile as it is, the photographed "child ABUSE" that the media and other imbeciles have labelled "kiddie PORN" and the laws invented to catch those that get their kicks that way will, and are, spill over to other "porn". It's alright saying "well, it's ok I don't like beastiality/rape fantasties etc etc, but the powers that be have set up their goalposts now and there is NOTHING anyone can do to stop them from moving them. If it's a heinous crime to look at one distasteful picture then that yardstick can be applied to any other. Pornographers and punters alike are well advised to be wondering "what next?" because the fickle morons that make up over 95% of our society are stupid enough to turn on a sixpence about anything when faced with "issues".
If it is illegal to look at an image, it can be illlegal to look at ANY image if the powers that be decide to deem something "unacceptable"

You're wrong .... most of them are only interested in young boys (allegedly) !

You're right about them being interested in Illegal Immigrants - but only the ones who'll do a bit work for them for 50p an hour.
