It's a Coen Brothers flick---from back in the days when they made good films. A wonderful pastiche of Raymond Chandler, with a stoner instead of Phillip Marlowe. Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Julianne Moore, Steve Buscemi . . . . and a wonderful cameo by John Turturro.
A must see.

What appealed to me back then was the likes of Ferris Buelers Day off

Those Saturday Morning Cartoons...Hong kong Phuey,Lippy the Lion & hardy ha ha,Magilla Gorilla,Wacky Races(I always barracked for Dick & Mut because i was corrupted),Jabber Jaw,F Troop(they seem animated)
Oh its all coming back/.....all that therapy down the toilette......
