Avoiding looking at cleavages at work...

Post by Genie »

Possibly a problem for many, not just readers of this forum.

Although anywhere but here, the subject might be dismissed as outdated and sexist.

However, human nature and all that...

A couple of girls I work with habitually where low cut tops. It used to be worse...4-5 of them did this. 3 of the 'culprits' have now left, but that still leave 2, to whom my eyes are drawn, like a magnet, occasionally.

It's / I'm not as bad as I make out. I am capable of self control, but at the same time my eyes / mind will wander every so often.

With both the girls concerned I get on with them well. However one is married, the other as good as. The former possibly likes the attention, and would laugh it off. The latter, I don't know, a very friendly and helpful girl, however one should not / I cannot assume dressing in such a way is an automatic invitation to stare, even briefly / occasionally.

On the occasion I do, I tell myself not to...there are many reasons not to -

it could offend her
could damage our friendship
not conducive to good relations in the office

to name but a few reasons.

What do any of you do combat human nature here?

Thanks for the advice.

I do get to see more flesh, be it in real life, or on a screen, on other occasions.

Still can't help but be drawn at work...both girls are mid 20's and beautiful, and reasonably 'stacked' (well B or C cup anyway), so hard not to look...

I had the chance of a job as a dresser at the Moulin Rouge back in the 1960's.

?150 a week.

But I couldn't afford to pay that much :-D

Let's be honest, no matter how "right on" you are, if you as much as catch a glimpse of flesh the trouser tyrant takes over immediately. All you can do is try not to dribble too much :-)

If they put it out there then unless your gay your always going to look

To me looking is like flirting, harmless

Its when you feel the urge to get all touchy feely that you've got problems

cheers

If a girl is wearing a low cut top then its cuz she wants attention. If its bothering you that much, speak to your manager about it and get them to have a word and tell them to stop.

If they show it then have a good look ... if they object tell them to cover up. They probably like the attention anyway.

Swap jobs with me.

It's an all male (barring 1 lass) workforce and the uniform is for polo shirts so no cleavage on show.

Well except for one lad whenever he forgets to wear a belt.

We got both kindsa music here. We got Country and Western
