It's not drugs that are wrong per se, it's societies attitude and the criminal influence or lack of self control on behalf of those taking them. Most drugs are only plants ... I would legalise the lot for recreational use, and if people wanted to kill themselves by over indulging, it's their own fault.

Think of all the resources of police, customs, courts etc. taken up trying to stop it - they can't and never will, so a pragmatic solution of toleration/legalisation would be a better option and I can't see it having a more detrimental effect on society than what we currently have. At the end of the day 90% of the population wouldn't touch drugs whether legal or not.

The poor farmers growing the actual crops are only doing it out of economic necessity, they don't make much money for the raw product.

It would be more of a suprise if a supermodel and her wastrel rockstar boyfriend didn't take drugs, frankly.

What is disturbing is how much more eager the Mirror is in telling us about this tired old twaddle than we are reading about it. It smacks of score-settling more than anything else.

Why can't the police arrest Kate Moss for this?

She's on camera snorting an illegal substance and according to reports apologised for her behaviour which to my way of thinking admits she took them.

Two ways to make drugs unattractive :-

1. Raid the likes of Groucho Club and Soho House arresting anyone found in possession of a class A substance.

2. Make drugs legal with registered outlets such as pharamacy's selling them.

You forget the crime done to support the addiction of drugs.

Only ranges from break ins - to murders or the occasional mugging of some little old lady for a wrap.

Nearly forgot the innocent children rushed to hospital after playing with dirty syringes.

At least action is being taken...insignificant people must boost an inflated ego.
