My apologies to Jo and everyone else for my no-show today but due to a bank error I have been left with no funds for the rest of the month. So I cannot make it out for drinks.
I feel like a complete arse after helping organise this meet.
To anyone who went to Waverly to meet me I can only apologise.
I really am a fucking disaster!

Perhaps it's something to do with the grand I have owed them for the last 6 years!

lol...

If its causing you financial hardship & the bank was at fault then they don't have the right to call for it all at once

If its accumulated over 6 years then it should be paid back over the same amount of time

I'd be heading straight to the financial/banking ombudsman if you haven't already done so

yeah....you're right!

I'd advise you to find out where you stand legally via the ombudsman and then let them broker a deal thats FAIR with the Bank and not just a money grabbing exercise to boost the banks profits

The way banks go on about these smallish amounts(to them anyway)but then feel free to write of millions in Corporate bad debts because they know they can beat tie them up in court for decades is sickening

A lot of things Banks do wouldn't stand up on court,pure & simple
Once you call their bluff they always back down because of court costs
If they don't,you go to the ombudsman
