Scene stealing many things he appears in. Played Sherlock Holmes in a TV film last Christmas, with Ian Hart as Watson. Was excellent in Another Country about the same time as Dance With A Stranger.

DWAS is an uncomfortable film to watch. Usual story of a woman being treated shabbily by someone she entrusts her future to.

Pretty sure a BBC drama of the early 1970s, A Pin To See The Peepshow, with Francesca Annis was also based on Ellis's life.

By the way, Steve, this site would be ideal for you. It doesn't just have movies in its database. Just shove a TV show or actor into its search engine and see what comes up. I've spent many a happy, if anorak-like, hour there :-)

I have to agree.

imdb (Internet Movie Data Base) is one of THE great sites on the net.

I often see a film, and say "who is that actor ?".

I go into imdb, and look around and usually find them, plus
details of all the other films they have been in.

It is a great site.
