Very sad news that Ronnie Barker died earlier this morning. A comedy genius who spanned 5 decades on our television screens, most notably The Frost Report, Porridge, Open All Hours and of course the Two Ronnies.

A true master of his craft. And he knew when to give it up and do his own thing.

...and I hope he took with him the collection of saucy postcard books he produced to read on his journey.
He was a lad for the ladies bending over showing the odd garter.You are a member of our club always.Keep cheerful and smiling.

Barry Cryer knows what he's talking about.
Inventive, funny, smart, generous. Seeing what he did with what few characters he brought to our screens makes you wonder how much untapped potential was there.
A genius.

,just seen details on yahoo news page;he was great i have a few audio tapes of the two ronnies will play 1 later on,yes arnie porridge was 1 of the best,hark at barker too.
