Murder

The Home Office is know looking at murder and thinking of bringing in new categories of murder.
What I would like to see is the right to defend our own properties and persons without worrying about an intruder or attacker becoming injured or killed for whatever reason.
I say that intruders are criminals who have no rights in our homes or properties.
Whatever one does to an intruder does not need justification.
I say this as a convicted murderer who wilfully killed a man who attacked me in my own home and threatened to kill my wife and children.

I agree with you mike, you should be allowed to defend yourself and your property against intruders, it is about time they stopped prosecuteing people for defending themselves/property against someone who has broken the law and entered your property.

I agree. I say shoot the bastards ? but only after a prolonged and judicious kicking has been administered.

Surely you forfeit all your rights if you break into a property, I mean who accidentally finds themselves in someone else's house at 2AM going through the drawers? I can't see how there can be any defence.

The English Law say that the intruder still has rights even if he tries to rob or kill you in your own home.

Ok, what would YOU do if you were faced with someone breaking into your home? Assist them in their quest to relieve you of your valuables? Make tea while they go about their work? Sympathise with their plight and bemoan a capitalist system that causes rampant poverty thus increasing crime?

While I hate burglers/intruders as much as anybody, we have to be careful.
For example, did you know there are many people allowed in your home
WITHOUT your permission, including the police, customs officers, gas board,
electricity board etc.
Obviously they need a reason (gas leak in the case of the Gas Board for
example).
But we could have the situation where you arrive home, think there is a
burgler, blast away with your shotgun, and then find you have killed
someone from the gas board.
So while I think that genuine burglers deserve all they get, we have to be
careful about giving the right for any home owner to shoot or attack
anyone who is in or near their property.
