Best & Worst cars

What are your best & worst? My worst was a 5 year old 1.3 Avenger which I got from a back street car lot. Went for a 40 mile run the following day and the exhaust blew, I think they had patched it up to get off the lot. Had trouble going up hills as it was such a big car for the crap engine. After a couple of weeks, while driving, I noticed what I thought were drops of rain on the wings which as it wasn't raining was a puzzle. When I stopped and looked, found they were rust bubbles which had been rubbed down and sprayed over. Kept it for a year than managed to buy my best car a 3 year old auto 2.2 Audi 100 which was a joy to drive and a joy to look at (only just managed to squeeze it into the garage though)

had an f reg fiat panda once, couldn't do more than 40 mph and juddered constantly, the brakes were shite, the boot didn't open and i don't reckon there'a another car you could buy that has less street cred. put it in for its new mot for a laugh, bastard passed!
so, what's the worst car i've ever owned then i hear you ask?

My mate used to drive a Fiat Panda, and not any Fiat Panda but a "selecta" (an automatic!)
It had nearly 100K on the clock and he drove it everywhere at 80mph (for comedy effect!) and was unburstable, the head gasket eventually went after many a hard mile and he sold it for ?75, five years later the damn thing is still running about!

Worst car I ever had was a Triumph Acclaim CD (company car) in about 1984/85/. Although a low mileage nearly new car at the time, it had no power (top speed was a heady 91mph!!!), the steering was wooly and the ride was like a plank of wood in a mid-Atlantic storm. Any journey of more than an hour or so had both myself and my then wife feeling sick. It was also pretty cramped inside.

Best car is the one I have now, a 12 year old MR2 with only 65,000 miles on the clock!

Worst by far was a Peugeot. I bought is as a "Sensible" car..it was SHIT. Looked shit, drove shit, everything on it was shit.

Best...Ferrari. NOTHING compares. Drives like God designed it, looks like a Hungarian glamour model, is still worth what I paid for it, pisses off porsche drivers, help you impress top girls...a fucking good investment.

Agree with Avenger. My dad bought one new and after 16 months Chrysler gave us a band new car, complete heap. Only plus was local dealer lent us a Sunbeam Lotus when it was off the road, which was a regular occasion!

Best car was my old Primera GT. 150BHP, great handling, reliable and could piss all over so called hot hatches. Previous owner was the local dealers sales manager so it ran like a dream. Only thing it didn't pass was petrol stations..........

Worst car:- Hillman Imp - positively dangerous in the dry and uncontrolable in the wet. Needed concrete slab in back to get any traction. Third world brakes!

Best car - my current weekend car Audi A4 Cabriolet what a car for posing in the sunshine

Worst: it's a tie between an early eighties Ford Capri 16L (in beige, would you believe?) and a late eighties Range Rover. Driving the Capri was like driving an underpowered blamange and the Range Rover was just grossly underpowered (Rover 3.5 V8) 'n' unreliable - and hence, horrid.

Best: Being a bit of a petrol head, I?ve had loads of fantastic cars, but I guess the sweetest, purest, driving experiences were at the wheel of a 'bog standard' 1975 Porsche 911, which I acquired from some minor film producer dude, down Chelsea/Fulham way.
