He's razor-sharp when it comes to music, if a little too elitist, and when he fills in for Jonathan Ross on Radio 2 I find him quite entertaining.
As a comedian he has remainded a bit too student and sneery to be good, he was excellent as a foil for Reeves & Mortimer in Shooting Stars but I think he spoils what could be a good show with "Buzzcocks" with the oh-so-funny and ironic barbs constantly thrown - I get the impression of a guy who believes he's a lot more worthy than he is.

While agreeing about his studenty style, I feel the Buzzcocks would be dull without him. For all the slagging of guests that has gone on, his best week's work was when he couldn't even look at Pete "Surgery gone mad" Burns, and left the audience to do its own laughing.
