As I recall, about 800 pages. Dickens' attack on the Chancellory, which had some law cases still being heard decades after the original parties had died. Jarndyce v Jarndyce was based on an actual case.

The Beeb did an excellent version 20 years ago, with Diana Rigg, Denholm Elliott, Peter Vaughan and Bernard Hepton, among others. Haven't seen this latest effort.

yes i saw the 1985 version with diana&charlie drake as smallweed were they sort of bohemians?
