What are the odds on the next US President being a black woman? If Condaleeza Rice wins the Republican nomination she could well be up against Hilary Clinton in the race for the White House.

Could make for an interesting campaign.

I think anyone involved in the present administration will have to hold fire for four years, or they'll be fighting their case on Bush's decisions rather than their own agenda. If Ms Rice was standing, she'd need to quit her present job and start the fund-raising and glad-handing now.

Papa George probably fancies putting Jeb up in 2012, to carry on the dynasty. Don't know enough about the rest of the US political heavyweights to comment. But it's a safe bet that Hilary will throw her hat into the ring at some stage for the Democrats.
