I know he's sometimes a bit too opinionated and gets on folks nerves, but his new book "Stores we could tell" is a great read, I'd recommend it too anyone, especially those in and around London in 1977 at the beginning of the punk explosion.

I agree, and i always thought he was a knobhead when he was writing for the NME twenty years ago; along side that harpy ex-wife of his.
