The Wisdom Of Frank Zappa

I've just been watching my old "Sounds Of The Sixties" video and there is a great performance by The Mothers Of Invention. Before that there is a clip of a Frank Zappa interview. They ask him what his aims are, he says he wants to make people question their environment and pull them from the comfort zone so that they see what is really happening. Given this was from 1968, he warns that it must happen before "America scoffs up the world and shits it out" a prediction of Orwellian accuracy ....I wonder what he would make of Dubya

Orwellian in it's accuracy, not in content.

I remember one of his songs, "Call Any Vegetable", and the wisdom at the start of the song could easily replace any modern-day fad-diet: "Hi, this is a song about vegetables, and they're good for ya".

I do question the wisdom of naming one of his kids Moon Unit. What was the other called, Space Jobbie? Can't remember.
