I acknowledge that the majority of you are old, wise and cynical enough to happily decree that such notions are bullshit. Well, you are true- the resolution is a utopian ideal- but, still, they work for me and it's good to set goals. !boring! !boring! !boring!

A lot of people reset their 'mental clock' with the start of a new year when, really, it is just another day in the progression of time itself. !sleep!

I'll start then:

Hobbies/ sports:

Too much footie and snooker, so take up tennis. Start guitar. !thumbsup!

Lifestyle:

More quality 'me' time- I go at 100mph. Need to find more time for my beloved books. Relax. Get a yoga book. Get a quality cookbook- a cookery nightclass maybe? Nah...... !blush!

Career:

Classified. !oops!

Other:

Attend BGAFD party, see what the craic is all about. !cool!
Hit the stage without dying on one's arse. !tears! !happy!

Grammar:

Minimise the comma-splicing. !annoyed!

Sex/ Ladies:

At least twice a week. !confused!
Ask out that gorgeous Irish lass I've been chasing. !love! Where's that mistletoe, I'll attach it to me bollocks....... !bow!

Lara Lee:

Shag. !wink! !wink! In my dreams !tears! Better than nowt !thumbsup!

Men's Health:

Become the cover model for !shocked!
Continue the quest to become a bronzed cougar from the planet Big Bollocks !wink!

Social:

I've gone a bit overboard this year, take it down to once a week. !drink! !drink!

Alcohol:

Do a 'Rampton'. Acquire figure of said individual. !grin!

I could go on, asking a lot there! IT'S JUST A BIT OF FUN!! (c. Keith Barrett)

RIGHT THEN, WHAT ABOUT YOU? SCEPTICS, JOIN IN...you know it [doesn't make much/ makes] sense.

Coming soon: the 2006 predictions thread.

Better to attach the mistletoe to your belly-button - unless you want a kiss on the knee?

Hmm, good thread, mine are few as I've never gone in much as mine tend to last about 3 days

Lifestyle - get a better work/home balance, which at the moment is totally out....

Hobbies and stuff - assuming above works out, devote lots more time to doing stuff I want to do, learn to use photoshop properly

Take my photography seriously - Started doing a few (very) shoots in 2005 but still feel I only dabbled in it really. Lots more focus in 2006, get some good contacts and see where it can take me.

Life - Just enjoy it

There, expect a disappointed reply on jan 3rd !sad!

Okay.

1) I will stop falling for unattainable blondes with gorgeous smiles (LaraLee, and Misses Holloway, Rose and Jenkins, this means you). Once upon a time I found brunettes more attractive; I will again.

2) I will try to be more tolerant of people I initially perceive as idiots, and not respond immediately to ridiculous right-wing rhetoric.

3) I will attempt to be more easygoing, yet bring some form of discipline (no, Chanta, put the whip away---I don't mean that) into my everyday life.

4) I will try to think nice thoughts and send good wishes for Christmas and the New Year to the 7500 other people who frequent these forums.

That should do. All four will be safely broken by January 2.
