Which one of you lot is the Chelsea fan? Just asking as I'm off to the match later and was wondering if SWP was going to play as he dosen't seem to have played much for Chelsea this season. What do you Chelsea fans think of him? He should get a good cheer from us lot if he does come on anyway. I hope there's no booing like some of the Liverpool faithful directed at Michael Owen.

Anyway, after a shite performance at Wigan hopefully we'll defend better and may even get some kind of result as long as its not the wrong end of a 4 - 0 tanning!

Cheers!

well Jimmy, look at this way...the only league game that chelsea lost last season was at man city on a wednesday evening, lets hope lightning doesnt strike twice! Infact Chelsea have only lost 1 league game this season and that was in manchester as well (but to the red half)
SWP is a great player and has played pretty well everytime he has played for us, he will get better and better.

prediction: Man City 1 Chelsea 2 !drink!

Nice bit of denial tas! ;o) - SWP has been shite for you this season compared to how he was for us last season ! He made a huge mistake leaving before the world cup

Apparently he is going to get his THIRD start for chelsea this season tonight that mourinhio isn't one for winding people up much is he !

I have to say as a Liverpool fan then I was a little embarrassed that some of our fans booed Michael on Boxing Day.

As a club we are proud of the fact that ex players get a good if not great reception on their return and the only previous ex player that I can remember to get booed was Stan Collymore and that was only by a few and not the majority.

Don't get me wrong as if I had of gone to the game then he wouldn't have got a standing ovation from me either but he would have got a polite round of applause and then "lets get on with the game".

Rumours persist about this get out clause that he's supposed (or not supposed to have depending on what you believe) to have but I would suggest that if he has one then the chances of him invoking it to return to Liverpool now would be slim and none.

SWP is a useful squad player. A small fish in a big pond. In my opinion he should have stayed with Man City and qualified to play regular games and an England call up through Man City. Can't blame Man City selling him at ?21m.
Reminds me of great players in ordinary squads that look average when thrown in with other star players. Classic example for us is Brian Laudrup. Supposedly brilliant, down the Bridge, he was crap and went back to Denmark cuz he was homesick. Chris Sutton was another example. Soon as they piss off to an inferior league with limited opposition, they shine again
Wayne Bridge and Glen Johnson are more recent examples, although Bridgey has had a nasty ankle break and will always be revered for scoring THAT goal that beat Arsenal in Champs League 2 years ago. He LITERALLY saved MY arse that night!!!!
