They are very versatile, and we should start a campaign with Jamie Oliver for more mushrooms.
I like my mushrooms sliced straight across so they are thin and crispy when fried.
..but some people like to quarter them instead.
A controversial subject indeed.

2005 was the year that the government banned the legal sale of magic mushrooms in the UK. No reason given, and no sensible justification. But when did politicians ever need such a thing?

Being of Italian descent I have been a mushroom picker since I was a child. Once september hits I'm out in the woods picking my mushrooms. Sad but true. This year was a good one the season seemed to last right till december.

They are the only food I refuse to eat.
