Definitely not a replacement,as it only blocks unlike anti-spy which blocks,scans & removes

Read Number 2 for spyblasters relevance


If you want to go the whole hog IE-SPYAD(number 3) will stop you from entering known dodgy domains

Any piece of spyware software is only as good as its database and in my experience they all bring something different to the table

I've used spyblaster with any number of scanner,blocker & removers
without conflicts occuring

Have you seen "Immunize" (sp?) in Spybot ? and the Resident and Silent Scanners ?

Yes to Spybots Immunize,funnily enough they mention Spyblaster as having a more complete database of nasties

Never heard of Resident & Silent Scanners but then I've never claimed to be anything other than a computer novice

These guys are highly reccomended if you are in real trouble and you don't pay if they can't disinfect.

I also reccomend the silentrunners.vbs script.

Downloaded, installed alongside MS AntiSpyware so far so good.

More is not always better,infact by running any other spyware removal software with spybot your defeating the purpose of spybot which is to neutralise the nasty in the hope that this will leave the free downloaded program that the nasty came with,still running

If your aim is just to remove all the parasites then 1 or 2 removal programs should be sufficient.After that it is just pointless

Never forget,the more software you download,the greater the potential for conflicts
